Skazi is an Israeli DJ group famous for its Psy-trance with rock motives. It was formed in 1998. It is a duo with Asher Swissa and Assaf B-Bass as its members.
Skazi was shaped in 1998 by two artists named Asher Swissa and Assaf B-Bass, to form a group of two creating Soft Psy-Trance Electro Punk music.
EMERGING OF SKAZI:
Swissa initiated his musical profession as a punk rocker in the year 1990. It was the time when he formed a group named Sartan Hashad together with his three friends. The band firstly played in smaller events at smaller venues like Tel Aviv and Jerusalem, and gained limited success in the punk scene at israil. By the year1996 Asher departed from the band to grow his career and to pen down and execute music which would plea to larger listeners. He started building trance music, yet kept a hard rock sound of the electric guitar riffs in many of his melodies. In 1998 he got the stage name DJ Skazi.
Assaf B-Bass has been a fragment of the electronic production music from the very beginning of the 1990s, and was tangled in several groups like Mental Orange.
Skazi’s first album was named Animal. It was released in September 2000. This album comprised of the techy hard core sounds and live guitar riffs. While the music was the integration of the other Psy-Trance, it had collective elements of Hard House and Techno as well.
After the production of this album “Animal”, both the artists, Assaf B-Bass and Asher are members of the duo. Assaf B-Bass performs as A&R for Skazi’s record label, Chemical Crew.
